One of the most beautiful and well-known waterfalls in the Tatras, located in the Mlynická Valley near Štrbské Pleso (approx. 8 km from the campsite). The waterfall drops from a height of around 25 metres and is surrounded by steep cliffs. The hike to the waterfall is easy to moderately difficult (about 3 hours round trip) and offers stunning views of Tatra nature.
Obrovský Waterfall
This waterfall is located on the Malý Studený stream near Hrebienok (about 25 km from the campsite). It drops from a height of approximately 20 metres and is the largest waterfall in the High Tatras. The route starts in Starý Smokovec, continues by cable car or on foot to Hrebienok, and then along a hiking trail to the waterfall. It’s suitable for families.
Studený Potok Waterfalls
A series of smaller cascades and waterfalls created by the Studený Potok stream. They are located between Hrebienok and Rainer’s Hut. The hike offers a mix of beautiful waterfalls, deep forests, and Tatra flora. The trail is moderately difficult, ideal for a summer walk with the option to extend the hike to Zamkovský Hut.
